- 1993 — establishment of the Cataloguing Department (CD) of the Main Office for Purchase of Services and Property and the start of preparatory work for the participation of the Czech Republic, or department of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic in the NATO Codification System (NCS)
- 1994 — issuance of the order of the Inspector of Logistics of the Czech Republic on the gradual transition to NCS principles, which in practice meant stopping the further development of technical projects of individual material classes
